Not only can you play basic missions like the types above, but Mike has scenarios to play special situations, like recreating historic battles or Warhammer 40k battles. Do you like Tomb Raider? We’ve got scenarios from the movies. Want to play a CounterStrike game of Ts vs. CTs? No problem. The Battlefield Live equipment won’t get in the way if your group wants to costume up for different sides of the battle. Let Mike know what you want to play. He can work with you to design any situation or scenario that you can imagine.
Play games for points or play with an overall objective. Play over a large area or just in your backyard. Play indoors or outdoors, daytime or night. Want to run some super-fast night urban operations? No problem. Want to play a slower, strategic sniper game during the day out in the forest? No problem. With Battlefield Live the entire game becomes real around you in exactly the way that you want it to. If you can imagine the game or show it to us we can recreate it. Play in the desert or in a field. Use sandbag bunkers or just your neighbor’s hedge. We can help you set up your favorite WWII video game scenario or run a game based on real historic events.
Battlefield Live is more immersive and realistic than either paintball or airsoft and will get your blood pumping faster than anything else you can find. Nothing will allow you to have games that are as extreme as Battlefield Live. What are you waiting for? E-mail us at mike@mikescombatgames.com or call now! (541) 914-0422
Some games we play
Base Assault One team holds the base, the other wants to take it from them. This is a great, basic game that never gets old. Typically we give you unlimited respawns in the first half and then in the second half we'll limit the reinforcements based on which team is winning. Base assaults are an excellent game for developing advanced strategies and building teamwork and coordination, too. A fun and challenging variation is to make the base start out neutral and send both teams to take it from each other. |
Battleball Battleball is a crazy fusion of football and our characteristic lasertag on steroids. In many ways Battleball is a fusion of many other games, including Bulldog, VIP Escort, Bomb the Base and Team Deathmatch. As you can imagine it's crazy fun and it doesn't matter whether you like or even understand American football. Battleball was conceived by another field owner, but Mike wrote the final rules for it. Battleball was debuted by multiple fields across the US for the first time on January 31, 2009. |
Bomb the Base A variation on Zone Control and Base Assault, in Bomb the Base games your job is to bring a bomb to the defenders' base, start the timer and then prevent the bomb from being defused before it can go off! Multiple bombs and plant sites inside of each team's base can make this insane with larger teams or go with the classic single bomb attacker/defender game. Imagine the challenge if you have to scout out the defending base, too, because you don't know where the plant site is or you have to find the bomb components scattered across the battlefield! |
Bulldog In Bulldog you have two goals: get as many members of your team across the field as possible and prevent the opponents from doing the same. Bulldog is a fast, simple game that challenges you to balance pressing forward with working on wearing down the opposing team. Typically bulldog is played in a close quarters combat (CQC) battlefield but is entirely feasible and also challenging on a large battlefield. |
Capture the Flag You're familiar with the basic game. Imagine how much tougher and more intense this game gets when you can be tagged from a football field away! Play a two-flag game with a flag at each team's base or play a one-flag game with a neutral flag in the middle that needs to be retrieved. Either way, you're guaranteed to be challenged. |
Intel A laptop is hidden somewhere within the game boundaries. The laptop has an encoded message on it. Both teams have a codebreaker on their team. The codebreaker's job is to decode the message and report it back to HQ (or the referee at their base). The catch: if your codebreaker dies they can't be respawned until the other team's codebreaker dies. The game is a frantic mix of search-hunt-defend and is especially crazy if you only have 3-4 people on your team but works great with larger groups or more than two teams. |
Sniper One-quarter of the players use longer guns and are sent out on bolt-action mode and given time to hide. The rest of the players become hunters with full auto and only 1 hit point but unlimited respawns. The hunters need to flush out the snipers before too many of the hunters are eliminated. At times this game can be slow because some snipers will hole up and hide. Successful snipers will hunt out the hunters and look for opportunities to pick them off when it's hard for the hunters to retaliate. |
Team Deathmatch This is the fundamental team vs. team game. Kill them more times than they kill you.We always run at least one of these to let players get into the zone of playing and to try out the equipment before we throw more complicated games and challenges at them. Although deathmatches have simple rules (Don't die as much as your opponents!) there's nothing simple about the skills required to play well. |
2-man Free-For-All Players pair off into two-man teams. Teams are released into the battlefield one minute apart. Once everyone is in the field, the fight begins. Teams stalk and eliminate each other systematically, trying to be the last pair standing. This game is really challenging because you never know when or where the next attack will be and requires that you are very alert and aware of your surroundings. Moving silently helps, too. |
VIP Escort One team has a VIP that needs to pass through several waypoints. The other team wants to eliminate the VIP. As ambushers die they become a pursuit force that keeps the VIP escorts from lagging. VIP escorts are very challenging games that force the escort team to handle a very large number of challenges at the same time, not the least of which is maintaining a reliable chain of command. |
Whiffle Ball Game Pairs of balls (one marked "1" and one marked "2" in each pair) are scattered around the field under orange cones, in baskets, etc. Each team is trying to collect either all the 1s or all the 2s before the other team gets their own balls. Often we will play several rounds of this, with the winner being the team that wins two out of three rounds. It's an insanely fast-paced game that can turn around dramatically if one team suddenly discovers the location of their balls. |
Zombie Zombie games are in many ways the reverse of a Sniper game. One person starts out as a zombie with full auto and less life but unlimited respawns. Everyone else is a human with their gun set to bolt action mode. Whenever a human dies they are respawned as a zombie with unlimited respawns. Played on a short time span, (10 minutes or less) this game is very tough on the humans, who have fewer and fewer allies as time goes on and have to create and maintain a perimeter under increasing fire. |
Zone Control King of the hill by any other name... Zone control games are challenging encounters because your team needs to be able to instantly change from being on the attack to being on the defensive and setting up a secure perimeter. Instead of scoring by the number of times your team needs to be respawned, this game is won by accumulating a certain ammount of time within the zone. Most teams have no problem taking the hill. Preventing the opponents from returning the favor and maintaining an aggressive defense is the tough part. |
