No matter what you need to fix or check inside the gun you'll be pulling off at least this first plate. Start by taking out all 16(!) screws on the magazine/side plate that doesn't have the key in it. |

Congratulations, all the components face away from you and are inaccessible. Let's take a closer look around the motherboard, though, to see what you'll be futzing with. |

Towards the back of the gun you'll find an almost completely inacessible screw holding the motherboard in. If you think that's bad, though... |

...then just try finding the screw at the front of the motherboard. There is no way you'll get those screws out without a few more steps first. |

Flip the gun over and take out the top 5 screws of the key-side magazine plate. When you're done flip the gun back over again, but make sure to hold the magazine and trigger assembly in place. |

Now that the magazine assembly is loose you'll notice that it's a lot easier to get into the motherboard screws. This picture is of the front screw. Note that the magazine can now be moved out of the way. |

Four quick screws will let you take off the cowling, which will earn you nothing except a view to the scope power cable and gun sensor. |
